In dieser Lecture Performance wirft uns die slowakische Schauspielerin Natalia Fasánková ohne Rettungsring in die Fluten einer Reflexion: Warum ist Theater ein problematisches Medium, wenn es um Freiheit und Gleichheit geht? Was hindert die Menschen in der Slowakei daran, sich im Theater wirklich frei zu fühlen? Und wie frei fühlen sich die Menschen, die am Theater arbeiten? Theater könnte vieles zum Besseren verändern, wenn die Gesellschaft es wollte. Aber es muss jetzt damit anfangen. Alle Macht der Fantasie – die Utopie ist jetzt!

What prevents people in Slovakia from feeling truly free in the theatre? And how free do theatre practitioners actually feel? Theatre has the potential to change society for the better, if society allows it. But the time for action is now. Power to the imagination: Utopia is now!
